Virtus Segafredo Bologna celebrates the 25th anniversary of EuroLeague, the top European basketball competition. In its very first season (2000/2001), it was none other than the Black V that stood atop Europe, making history. Virtus was the first team ever - and remains the only Italian Club - to have won the prestigious title. To honor the legacy of the EuroLeague, a competition in which Virtus has played a key role, the commemorative jersey features a tribute to the first official emblem of SEF Virtus, the founding organization of Virtus Basketball. Created in 1875, this emblem consists of a shield with four "F" letters arranged in a cross, representing the values: "Forte, Franco, Fermo, Fiero" (Strong, Frank, Steadfast, Proud). Throughout Virtus' glorious history, these four virtues have served as a guiding principle for all those who have worn the Black V jersey over the years. In this special 25th-anniversary edition, the Black V returns in its classic form, just as it was featured on the team's game jerseys until the 1990s. The "Forte, Franco, Fermo, Fiero" kit is made from 100% recycled polyester, and the woven-design shorts ensure a lighter and more flexible fit.
